    Leonor Pulido de Medina

    December 29, 1932 - December 23, 2021

Leonor Pulido de Medina Leonor was born on December 29, 1932 in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico. She was the daughter of Miguel Pulido and Ester Garibay de Pulido. Leonor had 6 sisters: Carmen, Margarita, Lupe, Maria, Ofelia, Martha, and two brothers: Javier and Miguel “el guero”. She lived in Zamora, Michoacan but visited her aunt Carlota in Guadalajara where she met Manuel Medina. After being his girlfriend for 6 años they married on May 1, 1954. In 1956 they decided to emigrate to the United States. They had four children, Patricia, Victor, Alejandro (who passed before birth), and Adriana. She had four grandchildren, Michael “Miguelito”, Ricky, John “Juanito”, and Sabrina. She welcomed Valerie (Michael’s wife) and Sarah (Ricky’s wife). She had the joy of seeing three great-grandchildren: Eli, Daniel, and René (Ricky and Sarah’s children). She lovingly took close care of her husband and children and still had time to cook delicious meals. She was a phenomenal housewife! She also liked to sing and dance with Juan Gabriel, read Corin Tellado, M Delly, Caridad Bravo Adams, crochet and watch soap operas. In 1965, while returning from Guadalajara Jalisco the family faced a cyclone in Mazatlan. Leonor prayed the rosary asking for help. Thank God, the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal appeared to her and with the rays from her hands, illuminated the road until we reached a safe spot. Leonor had a devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the Miraculous Medal. In Leonor Medina’s name we would like to give you a Miraculous Medal. On December 23, 2021, at 2 am, God took her to His kingdom while she slept. Her husband and children were with her. We will remember her as the wife and mother who gave everything for her family. She also always watched over her parents, siblings, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. We know she will continue to care for all her loved ones from heaven. Love always.
