Justine J. Leuty, age 83 of Temecula, CA passed away peacefully, August 8, 2021. Justine was retired from the Los Angeles Dodgers; she attended San Gabriel Mission High School in San Gabriel, then on to Trade Technical College in Los Angeles where she was poised to embark in a career in Fashion Design and met her husband. Justine was born Sunday, February 13, 1938, in New York, the daughter of the late Joseph J. Johnstone and the late Matilde W.(Muller) Johnstone. Justine married Delbert R. (Del) Leuty on June 27, 1959, at St. Phillips Church in Pasadena, CA. She had a love for children and animals, cats especially, travel, gardening, and flowers. She loved meeting new people and looked forward to having her grand dog Dixon with her on the weekends. Justine was preceded in death by her husband Del Leuty; survived by her son, Peter Leuty of Reno, NV; daughter Tricia DiGregorio of Anaheim Hills, CA; grandchildren Ryan Leuty and Megan Leuty. She is preceded in death by her brother John J. “Jack” Johnstone; survived by her nieces, Jeanine Brunner of Munich, Germany and Jennifer Chavez of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews through her extended family. She will always be in the hearts of those she loved dearly. Services for Justine Leuty will be held on Thursday, September 2 at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Perris, CA. Visitation will be from 8:30 am with funeral service at 9:30 am, then a reception to celebrate Justine’s life from 10:30-12:30 pm. Afterward the (optional) Interment at 1:30 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
