Sally Louise Slanker

November 26, 1951 - December 10, 2021

Sally Louise Slanker was born on November 26, 1951 to Walter and Kassie Saccani in Detroit, MI. When she was 7 years old they moved to Upland, CA. Sally graduated from Upland High School and subsequently Cal Poly, Pomona in 1974 with a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education Sally met her husband, Steven Slanker their last year at Cal Poly and was married on November 30, 1974. After the wedding they moved to a suburb of Chicago where they had a son, John. Sally was loving motherhood and enjoyed raising John in Tinley Park, Naperville, Moorpark, and Geneva. Sally still has good friends in all those cities. Sally finished her career with Accenture and retired while in Temecula. Sally enjoyed being close to her grandchildren and loved being able to watch them grow up. Sally and Steve shared 47 wonderful years together. Sally spent a lot of her time with family and friends. She loved traveling and visited many parts of the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and China. As a Sessions Coordinator for Accenture, Sally traveled to and managed onsite training in many global locations. Sally has a strong Italian heritage and maintained ties with her Italian Family. Many trips were made to visit family in Northern Italy. She even learned to speak Italian as an adult. Sally is survived by her husband Steven, son John, daughter-in-law Tamra and the two grandchildren Greydon and Sienna. In addition, her sister Susan Gorman and family, cousins Thomas Killeen and family and James Killeen and family, and her aunt Bea Carr. She will also be missed by her Italian relatives including Georgio Benaglia and family, Carla Ucelli, Giovanni Marmiroli and many others. Sally will be missed by all the family and friends! Her ashes will be interned at the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, CA.
