Ronald Neuman

July 6, 1928 - May 19, 2022

Ron was born and raised in Williston, North Dakota. He was the youngest of seven children, born to Frank and Elizabeth Neumen. Ron worked as a surveyor for the Garrison Dam project after graduating high school. He started college at North Dakota State in 1949, but was drafted into the Army in 1950. He served for two years with the Military Police, overseas in Korea. After his service, Ron returned to Williston, where he met and married Esther Johnson, in 1953. They moved to Long Beach, California, that same year. Ron was hired by the U.S. Post Office in 1953 as a Mail Sorter, and retired as a Postal Auditor in 1987. During that time, Ron and Esther raised two children in Long Beach. Ron loved his family and the church. He enjoyed camping, scouting, traveling, cruising, and serving the church. Ron is survived by Esther, his wife of 68 years; his daughter, Carolyn Nell (David); his son, Jerry; two grandsons, Robert Nell and Michael Nell; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Nell and Bruce Nell.
