Christopher John Ward

October 7, 1939 - January 14, 2022

In loving memory of Christopher J. Ward born October 7, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York passed away suddenly on January 14, 2022. Christopher was predeceased by his parents Helen Goldsworthy Duty and Christopher Thomas Ward. Also his loving brother Jimmy Ward, sister Peggy Basaman and her husband Joseph Basaman and sister-in-law Majorie Ward. Also his loving nephew Daniel Basaman and niece Eileen Basaman. He is survived by his sister Rose Herrity and brother Joe Ward and his three children Peggy, Carla and Chris Ward and three grandchildren Jillie, John-Michael and Vicky. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Christopher graduated from Suitland High School in 1958 upon moving to Maryland from New York and shortly after went onto proudly work for the Washington Post for over 40 years of dedicated service. May he always walk in sunshine and God's love around him flow, for the happiness he gave us, We will forever miss and know, It broke our hearts to lose him, but he did not go alone, a part of us went with him, the day God called him home. A million times we needed him, A million times we've cried. If our love could have only saved him he would have surely never died. May the Lord and family of angels always and forever be at his side, Till that day we all meet, "Take it Easy" and Rest In Peace.
