Billy Wayne Spiers

Billy Wayne Spiers passed away at the age of 80, on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Whittier, California. He was born on Friday, May 9, 1941, in Poplarville, Mississippi, to Albert Spiers and Troy Lee Spiers, and he was one of five children. While Billy proudly served in the US Army, he was also an amazing husband and dedicated father. Billy was married for 38 wonderful years to Mary Evelyn Spiers, before her passing in June of 2001. They were blessed with four children that would later make Billy a grandfather and great-grandfather as well. In his spare time, he loved the outdoor life, such as gardening, fishing, and hunting. He took the joy of being a handyman and having his home cleaned and organized. In his relaxed time, Billy enjoyed cooking, baking, travel, watching Gunsmoke, The Virginian, Bonanza, Let's Make A Deal, and the Price Is Right. He was a hardworking, strong man who served as a pillar of strength for others. His love for his family was beyond measure and he will forever be missed and loved. Billy is survived by his loving companion of six years, Dawn Hlaing; his children, Ursula (Pedro) Cuellar, Troy Nell Spiers, Billy Wayne Spiers Jr, and Thomas William Spiers; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; and his 2 sisters, Geri Winslow and Wanda Gunnels.
