Ella Aline Tackabery December 8, 1932 - May 8, 2022 Aline Tackabery left this earth peacefully on May 8, 2022, surrounded by her family and she was welcomed by Jesus to her heavenly home. Aline was born on December 8, 1932 in Roswell, New Mexico to Roy and Estelle Meredith. When Aline was 13 years old, she moved to California with her parents and two brothers and they eventually settled in Riverside, California. Aline would frequently visit her grandmother’s house and there was a young man named Richard Tackabery renting a room at her grandma’s home while he was going to college. While attending a gathering at grandma’s, Aline asked Dick Tackabery to dance. This dance turned into 65 years of marriage to the love of her life until his passing in October 2016. They were truly in love and Aline missed him dearly after his passing. Aline is survived by her six children, Teresa Ewin (Leon), Mary Meadors (Trent), Cynthia Ferreira (Timothy), Thomas Tackabery, Frances Tackabery and Edward Tackabery. Aline had twelve grandchildren, Matthew Ewin (Aileen), Nathan Ewin, Michelle Clookie (Jeremy), Kristen Ginn (Dustin), Michael Meadors, Nicholas Ferreira (Jill), Eric Ferreira (Dawn), Julie Petersen (Dustin), Nichole Tackabery, Kevin Tackabery, Richard Hartje (III) and Justin Hartje, Aline had six great-grandchildren, Tessa Ewin, Charlotte, Beckett and Etta Rose Clookie, Andrew Ferreira and Isabella Ferreira. Aline was preceded in death by her parents (Roy and Estelle Meredith) and her brothers, Roy Victor (RV) and Richard Meredith. Aline was a very devoted Catholic and an exceptional wife and mother. Aline’s passing on Mother’s Day is quite fitting and is a tribute to her greatness as a wife and mother and truly honors her legacy. Her love, kindness and commitment to her family prevailed throughout her life and she absolutely loved family gatherings. Warmth and kindness with a streak of spunk were just some of Aline’s fine characteristics. Aline was a great cook, enjoyed dancing, gardening, camping, backpacking, and traveling in their RV. She loved to play Texas Hold’em poker with family and most of the time she won! Aline also loved dogs, had a great sense of humor and incredible intuition. She lived for her faith and family until her last breath and we will miss her dearly. Dick and Aline Tackabery together were shining examples of faith, family values, love and patriotism. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church (780 S. State Street, Hemet, California) on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow the funeral Mass at Seven Hills Golf Clubhouse (1537 S. Lyon Avenue, Hemet, California).
