Aggie Fikse
November 21, 1927 - January 20, 2022
Aggie Fikse was born on Monday, November 21, 1927 in Artesia, California to Meyer and Anne (van den Bosch) Lanting. She was the youngest of four children. She lived a faithful, Christ-honoring life, loving her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed to her heavenly home at the age of 94 on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Aggie was married to the love of her life, her best friend, Alfred Fikse, for 57 wonderful years before his passing in 2005. They were blessed with four children, thirteen grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren. She was the right hand helping her husband in the construction business until they retired. Many homes, churches, and schools were built first in Artesia and Chino, and then in Temecula where the family moved in 1967. In retirement, Al and Aggie lived in Spring Valley Lake and San Jacinto. Aggie was always a very active church member, teaching Sunday School, serving as a church librarian, playing organ, and very faithful in worship. Al and Aggie with six other families founded the Rancho Community Church in Temecula. She loved reading, especially Christian fiction. Her family was always very special to her. Aggie loved time in Big Bear and at Huntington Harbor. Aggie was preceded to heaven by her husband, Al; her son, Alfred; her son-in law, Gene Van Zee; her great grandson, Gabriel Taylor; her brothers, Shoerd and Broer Lanting; and her sister, Annie Troost. Aggie is survived by children Anna Jean Van Zee, Cindey and Ken Cozzens, Joan and Kurt Keys, and Myron and Violet Fikse. Her grandchildren are Angie Taylor, Andy Van Zee, Amy McGuin, Rebecca Powell, Rachel Garnett, Ruth Arner, Robert Fikse, Kyle Keys, Amanda Tamai, Alicia Akamine, Patricia Ball, Myron Fikse, and Alan Fikse. Aggie also is survived by sisters-in-law Audrey Lanting, Johanna Overgaauw, Margie Fikse, and Phyllis Fikse. She has many loved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Grace Fellowship Bible Church, located at 375 N. Sanderson Ave, Hemet.
