Grief Resources

Miller-Jones Mortuary provides an after-care program to all the families we serve. We have consultants to help the family clean out closets, drawer, etc. We offer a picture Memorial Tribute Free of cost, and each family is placed on our Healing Effects mailers.

Our bereavement counselor is available to come out to the houses and help the family clean, box, or just talk and ask questions. The counselor can answer or help find the answers to Veterans' and Social Security Benefits. This person can also help with grieving questions and help find clergy or additional counseling for future needs.

Healing Effects is sent out on the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 12th month after the death occurs. We also send out a very special issue for the holidays. Each Healing Effect talks about grief, loneliness, helpful suggestion, how each of us are so different and much more.

Our Memorial Tributes are 8x10 scenic photos that allow the family to place a picture of their loved one, a verse and dates printed on each. The first copy is no cost to our families and there are many beautiful scenic and hobby pictures to choose from.
